Mikey's Website

Hi!

I'm Mikey, I live in NYC, my MBTI is ENFP if it's before 7pm and INFP if it's after, and I'm currently heads down working on a project called sketches, which is my attempt to explain ML concepts with more pictures and fewer words.

Before sketches, I was a software engineer at Wing, IDEO.org, Microsoft, and The New York Times.

A few dreams I'd like to manifest:

Accessible education for everyone.
I'd love to host weekly pasta nights of 4-10 people where I don't know everyone.
Live in a 4-apartment townhouse with friends who like to make things, working on our projects.
Own a little grapefruit patch in a mini-greenhouse.
Have five little shacks in NYC, Seattle, Porto, Tokyo, and Sydney.

A few things I geek out to:

Anything design-related, but particularly typography.
Anything ML-related, particularly scene reconstruction and self-supervised learning problems in computer vision.
Personality tests and anything psychology, but not astrology.
Peregrine falcons and anything fast that's not a car.
Grapefruit juice. I have an IG where I write reviews on different grapefruit juice I try and books I read.
